Guardianships

Where a loved one has lost mental capacity, you will require the court to intervene and appoint the appropriate person to act on their behalf. This procedure takes time and costs a significant amount. Given the implications, the steps in this procedure are simply unavoidable obstacles that must be overcome in order to safeguard a vulnerable adult.
If you find yourself in this situation, it is recommended that you seek legal advice to assist you. We are experienced in providing advice in relation to the application to the court, and the administration that follows an order being granted.
Given the difficult circumstances of such cases, we are also pleased to be able to offer Legal Aid for such matters, which reduces the inevitable costs involved.
