Robert is a Solicitor, based in our prestigious Edinburgh office specialising in Employment law. Since qualifying in October 2022, Robert has garnered extensive experience in litigated matters within the employment tribunal jurisdiction, making him an invaluable asset to our growing Employment Unit.
Robert began his career as a Claimant-only solicitor, providing a unique perspective in truly understanding disputes from both perspectives. Through dedicated practice, he has honed his skills to become a pragmatic and informed practitioner in the field of employment law.
In his current capacity, Robert serves as a trusted advisor to both Employers and Employees, offering comprehensive guidance on various matters. His proficiency extends from purely pursuing or defending litigated claims to negotiating mediated settlements, providing clients with alternative avenues for resolution in a cost-effective manner.
Robert's commitment to excellence is evident in his contributions, including drafting employment law updates and articles to keep clients well-informed. Prior to joining our firm, Robert pursued his legal education at the University of Strathclyde having previously enjoyed a career in management. In his spare time Robert regularly provides free time to several good causes and charities including those advocating for the enhancement of care experienced young adults and their pathways to education/employability.
