Planning
Planning implications arise in many property deals.
We have broad experience of planning law, in particular concerning development projects. We have been involved in applications for planning permission and acted for objectors to applications and appellants. We have experience with compulsory purchase and compensation; private legislation (e.g. in relation to major transport infrastructure); procurement issues; renewable energy; urban regeneration and planning enforcement.
We have negotiated numerous Section 75 Agreements and Section 69 Agreements, some of which have been very complex, covering large projects that are to be developed over a period of years. Where appropriate, we work for our clients in partnership with the relevant planning authority.
In planning appeals, we have made representations both by written submission and to public inquiries. We have also advised clients who have made representations to such inquiries. We have a number of Solicitor Advocates whose expertise can be invaluable in such situations.
Our team gives sound, commercially-minded legal advice and will work with members of your professional team to ensure that your deal is structured properly.
