Biography
Lily is a solicitor in our commercial dispute resolution team and works in our Glasgow and Edinburgh offices. Lily qualified as a solicitor in 2022 having completed the majority of her traineeship with BTO in the IP, tech and data protection team within dispute resolution and now specialises in these areas.
Lily regularly appears in Sheriff Courts for public and private sector clients, dealing with a range of civil actions including contractual disputes, bankruptcy and liquidation, commercial leases and data protection breaches. She also regularly deals with non-contentious matters involving data protection, tech and IP.
Lily has a particular interest in artificial intelligence and its interaction with the law and is published in the Legal TechBook on this subject. She is currently a member of the International Network of Privacy Law Professionals.
Before joining BTO, Lily worked in Paris for a boutique commercial law firm specialising in data protection.
In her free time Lily is a volunteer fosterer for a UK animal welfare charity. She also plays the drums and piano.
