Biography
Bryony is a Solicitor in our Professional Discipline and Clinical Defence department, which is ranked Band 1 by Chambers UK and The Legal 500. She assists with a broad range of defence work from acting on behalf of general practitioners, dentists and other clinicians in claims of alleged negligence, to Fatal Accident and other inquiries.
Bryony started her legal career practising in a multi-service firm, acting for clients in respect of a variation of civil litigation matters. This broad range of experience provided an excellent opportunity to hone a diverse skillset and identify the area in law in which she would later specialise.
Bryony completed her legal training in the field of clinical negligence and personal injury, acting as a pursuer’s agent. She has assisted clients in claims before the All-Scotland Sheriff Personal Injury Court and the Court of Session. Bryony’s experience of clinical negligence claims includes prescription error, delay in diagnosis and catastrophic loss. This experience is of great benefit to defence work and lends itself to her overall knowledge of the clinical background to claims.
