BTO is delighted to announce that Laura Salmond has been accredited as an employment law specialist by The Law Society of Scotland.

Laura’s achievement brings BTO’s total number of accredited specialists in employment law to three, as her fellow partners Caroline Carr and Jacqueline McCluskey have already held this qualification for 20 years and 10 years respectively.

Laura has a loyal client following and is instructed by a broad range of public and private sector clients and senior executive employees on all aspects of the employment relationship. She is particularly experienced in advising and representing trade union and federation members.

BTO’s employment team receives instructions from some of the world’s largest insurers, instructed to represent the interests of their insured business clients in Employment Tribunal claims. Moreover, having established a specialism in the healthcare sector, the team was involved in one of the highest profile Employment Tribunal cases in Scotland recently, involving many complexities and Scottish Government intervention.
