Emma Olley

Emma is a Solicitor in our Professional Discipline and Clinical Defence team, which is ranked Band 1 by Chambers UK.

Emma acts for a broad range of professionals in defending claims of alleged negligence and in disciplinary proceedings before regulatory bodies, with particular expertise in the medical, health & education sectors.

She is experienced in representing clinicians in both pre-litigation complaints and litigated claims in the Sheriff Court and Court of Session.

Emma also has experience in representing clinicians in Fatal Accident Inquiries where the deceased has received medical treatment prior to death and has a keen interest in advocacy.

Emma completed her undergraduate studies and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Edinburgh, and she continues to teach at the University as a tutor on the LLB Law degree.
