BTO takes part in The Great Scottish Run to raise funds for The House of Hope Scotland

BTO takes on the Great Scottish Run 2025

This weekend, our colleagues Kay Richardson, Natalie Boal, Ross Ward, Aaron Kane, Caitlyn Sinclair, Morgan Francis and Scott Buchan embraced the crisp autumn air and incredible atmosphere at the AJ Bell Great Scottish Run!

They ran in support of our Charity of the Year, The House of Hope Scotland, the country’s first bespoke support and wellbeing centre for anyone impacted by breast cancer. 💜

The team has raised an impressive £780, and the total is still climbing!

If you’d like to help our colleagues reach their £1,000 target, you can donate to this fantastic cause HERE.

Having completed the half marathon successfully, Natalie Boal, a trainee solicitor in our Employment law team, said:

Feeling very proud of everyone at BTO who trained hard and took part in the 10km and half marathon races today. A huge thank you to everyone who has donated and cheered us on along the way!”

Ross Ward, a solicitor in our Professional Discipline & Clinical Defence team, added:

The gods were smiling on Glasgow and it was a thrill to run my first half marathon at such an electrically-charged event.  Congratulations to my colleagues and anyone else who was lucky enough to participate on such a bonny and memorable day!”

Kay Richardson, another half marathon runner, and a solicitor in our Family Law team, concluded:

The whole day was amazing and I am so glad that not only was I pleased with my time, I managed to enjoy myself along the way (until those final 2 kms…). Congratulations to everyone who took part and helped make the day as unforgettable as it was! I am so grateful for everyone’s support whether that’s been through donations or  supporting us from the sidelines!”

Congratulations also to our colleague Diana McLeish who completed the run with her friend Rachel in aid of the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity to show appreciation to the hospital for caring for her young son. Together they have raised a spectacular £5K+  this year and you can help them generate more funds by donating HERE.

Well done to everyone involved in this special event. It was an inspiring effort for two truly meaningful charities.
