Susie is the firm’s main point of contact with the courts in Scotland, heading up the firm’s Parliament House team. She is involved in the day-to-day procedural contact with court staff and is BTO’s key liaison between the courts and the firm’s solicitors.

She is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of administrative matters in all our Court of Session cases across all three offices. Susie trains all of the firm’s incoming litigation trainees on matters of court procedure. She also acts as clerk to our Edinburgh-based solicitor advocates.

Susie has over 35 years of experience in court running, court motions and all Court of Session procedural matters, almost 30 of which she has spent with BTO. Due to her tenure, countless BTO solicitors both past and present credit Susie as the key source of much of their procedural knowledge and best practice in court matters.
