Laura is a leading individual in both Professional Discipline and Clinical Negligence.

She acts for professionals (mainly medical and dental), as well as students, in fitness to practise and disciplinary proceedings, involving  misconduct and competency issues.

Clinical negligence claims range from minor cosmetic or dental hiccups, to catastrophic wrong site surgery claims. In addition to this, Laura can provide advocacy services in Fatal Accident Inquiries for clinicians involved in deaths thought to involve the medical treatment.

• Instructed to act as Counsel in the Scottish Covid Inquiry for the College of Paramedics.
• Representing a M&E company in the Scottish Hospitals Inquiry.
• Assisting a number of clinicians to provide detailed written statements to the Scottish Hospitals Inquiry.
• Represented one particular clinician throughout the length of the UK Infected Blood Inquiry, having successfully represented his interests at the GMC and the Penrose Inquiry previously.  This is in addition to a number of other clinicians on behalf of MDDUS.
