Jennifer Laurie

Jennifer is an experienced Senior Associate in our Real Estate team.

She has a positive “can do” attitude and is a good all-rounder, with wide ranging and varied expertise in all areas of commercial property in Scotland, including (but not limited to) commercial and residential development, acquisitions and sales, cross border deals, landlord and tenant work and asset management.

Jennifer is pragmatic, personable and solution focussed. She is a critical thinker who sees the bigger picture and understands her clients’ business.

She was one of the first solicitors in Scotland to be Signet Accredited in Commercial Property (the WS Society’s programme of accreditation).

Experience

• Lead solicitor advising Scottish M & S Food franchisee on the acquisition of new premises at the Victoria Infirmary, Battlefield.
• Advising landowners on the negotiation of option agreements for a Battery Energy Storage System facility in the central belt.
• Advising restauranteur client new to the Scottish market on the acquisition of premises in Edinburgh.
• Advising residential developer on the acquisition and sale of sites for residential development (including site for circa 1000 new homes in the central belt).
• Lead solicitor advising on the acquisition of a site in Glasgow city centre for purpose-built student accommodation, including development finance and agreement for lease with a university, seeing the development through from beginning to end.
