Grant has successfully headed the firm’s Dispute Resolution department for seven years and has served on BTO’s former Executive Board since 2018. He now assumes overall responsibility for the firm’s strategic and operational performance with the aim of driving the positive development of the firm’s vision, culture and strategy.
On his election Grant commented:
“I look forward to leading a positive new era for BTO, ensuring the continued and enhanced delivery of quality legal services to our clients. Our restructured Management Board is fully committed to providing clear, decisive leadership and direction, supporting the training and development of our people, driving sustainable, profitable growth across the business and adding new clients and top-tier legal talent to the firm.”
Supporting at the helm of BTO Caroline Carr assumes the role of Chair. Having performed senior internal roles for over a decade, whilst successfully leading an Employment team which has expanded significantly, Caroline will retain a client facing role whilst also undertaking firmwide leadership responsibilities. She shared her excitement, saying:
“It gives me great pleasure to take on the role of Chair of BTO. Having been present during various pivotal moments in our firm’s history, I am excited and energised to contribute to this next stage in its evolution.
“Our new Board will encourage contribution and collaboration across the firm. I am committed to playing an important role in shaping the firm’s strategic direction over the coming years, leveraging my commercial experience gained over many years as an employment lawyer, to promote our corporate identity, nurture our talent and inspire BTO and our colleagues to reach their full potential.”
Grant emphasised the importance of ensuring the firm’s continued success, remarking:
