A same sex couple used an international clinic to undertake their surrogacy journey. They used their gametes together with a donor gamete. They sought legal advice in relation to the steps required to help them become the legal parents of the child after the surrogate gives birth.
The couple had engaged the services of the international fertility clinic prior to obtaining legal advice with regards to what happens upon their return to Scotland and the steps required in order to have their relationship recognised legally.
