This Women & Girls in Sport Week I had the pleasure of talking to students from Whinhill Primary School all about Girls’ Rugby and the importance of physical wellbeing for young girls as they grow up.

Having been heavily involved in the Rugby scene in Scotland for 10 years now, it is always amazing to see young girls sit with stars in their eyes as they learn about this exciting sport.

Something that was almost unheard of when I was in their shoes. It’s exciting to see the barriers constantly being broken down in what was previously a male dominated sport.

Looking forward to the weekend, where I’m taking our first ever team of U10s girls to their first game – unicorn mascot in hand!
