Biography
Wendy is a Solicitor Advocate with extended rights of audience in the Supreme Court and the Court of Session. She has specialised in litigation throughout her legal career.
She has been a practising Solicitor Advocate since 2004. She has considerable experience of appearing in the Court of Session, currently mainly in reparation cases although she also has experience of commercial cases. Her clients include large insurance companies.
Wendy heads up our Advocacy team as well as our Occupational Illness team.
Her personal injury practice includes industrial disease cases as well as employers’ liability and public liability cases at all levels including catastrophic injury and fatal cases. Over the last few years, she has increasingly specialised in high value and complex cases. She has been instructed in several product liability cases.
Wendy has conducted several Court of Session Proofs alone and has successfully acted as Junior Counsel for the Defender in a Jury Trial as well as at Proof. She regularly acts in cases against both Senior and Junior Counsel.
Wendy has extensive knowledge of Court of Session practice and procedure and also qualified as a solicitor England and Wales.
