On 5 February 2016, Scottish Mackrell International member firm bto solicitors hosted the ‘bto Bowling Challenge’ for fellow MI members.
Representatives from Mackrell Turner Garrett (London), Crowley Millar (Dublin) and Babbé Legal (Guernsey) braved the cold Scottish elements for a fun night of dinner, bowling and celebratory drinks.
Those with a competitive streak were quickly distinguished from their teammates by their enthusiastic, verging on dangerous, bowling techniques, with Nick Davies and James Atton of MTG almost disappearing down the lanes with their bowling balls… Well worth it, however, for a bottle of Laurent-Perrier.
Post game celebratory drinks were consumed in Browns, situated on Glasgow’s famous George Square, before the hard core members of the party, led by John Carroll of Crowley Millar, moved on to dance the night away in The Corinthian Club in Glasgow’s Merchant City.
BTO is grateful to everyone who gave up part of their weekend to reinforce relations with their MI neighbours.
Alan Borthwick, BTO’s Chairman, said:
“BTO was delighted to host the latest Mackrell International social event. It provided the ideal opportunity for our teams to get to know each other and the services that they can provide in an informal and relaxed setting. Such events are vital for maintaining strong links between MI firms and we look forward to hosting more events in the future.”
