BTO is delighted to announce the appointment of Senior Associate Morven Douglas and Solicitor Brittany Thomas to its Family Law team.
Morven, an accredited specialist in family law and a trained Collaborative Lawyer, has practiced exclusively in the field of family law for 16 years. She brings to BTO her specialist expertise in cases with an international element, such as child relocation and removal of children within the UK, including experience of working for the Scottish Government in international child abduction cases.
Solicitor Brittany Thomas is particularly knowledgeable in both financial provision and Hague Abduction cases within the Court of Session. In her spare time, she tutors on the LLB degree Family Law course at the University of Edinburgh.

News of these new recruits closely follows BTO’s announcement on 20 August that Associate and accredited specialist Debbie Reekie was admitted as a Solicitor Advocate at the Court of Session. This will enable her to provide advocacy services direct to her clients as well as continuing to work with Scotland’s leading advocates.
