Regulation 2 of the current 2020 Scottish Regulations, which provides protection from eviction in certain circumstances in residential tenancies, has been extended beyond the 22 January 2021 deadline to March 2021. These Regulations prohibit the enforcement of any charge or decree for removal from a residential dwelling house.
Enforcement will only be permitted in certain circumstances, such as: nuisance or annoyance at the dwelling-house or permitting it to be used for illegal or immoral purposes, certain criminal convictions, criminal behaviour, anti-social behaviour or association with a person who has a relevant conviction or has engaged in relevant anti-social behaviour.
