As well as representing health professionals at regulatory hearings, Douglas has for over twenty five years acted on behalf of doctors, dentists, nurses and other health professionals in Public Inquiries, Fatal Accident Inquiries and actions of damages in the Court of Session and Sheriff Courts.
Douglas’s achievements include: representing a number of individual doctors and nurses at Fatal Accident Inquiries and acting for medical and dental practitioners in defending complaints against them to the General Medical and General Dental Council. Douglas has also acted for a variety of insurers in catastrophic injury claims and has represented individuals and employers in health and safety prosecutions and their associated Fatal Accident Inquiries.
