Friday the 13th may be unlucky for some, but for bto solicitors it was a day of fabulous fundraising for Alzheimers Scotland.

The day kicked off with the ‘Big bto Bake off’ – who knew such baking talents were hidden in our Glasgow and Edinburgh offices!

A long table full of scrumptious baking was judged by bto’s Margaret King, while hungry staff waited in the wings to do their own sampling (after donating to Alzheimers Scotland for the privilege of course!).

The joint winners were Breda Coll with a cake rendition of a character from the film ‘Despicable me’, and Yvonne Stewart with a perfectly tasty walnut cake.

Both winners' cakes will feature on the front cover of the bto cookbook which will be launched in the New Year, as well as recipes and photos of all entries detailed inside. Check out a small selection of the great 'bto Bake Off' entries below.

We also had a ‘Guess the birthday’ of the teddy bear (won by Claire McPherson) but the fun didn’t stop there with bto’s Shona Curry announcing the winners for our prize Raffle draw via link through to our Edinburgh offices. Prizes included a £100 hamper, a bouquet of flowers to be delivered on Christmas Eve, a box of chocolates, and bottles of Prosecco.

All in all a great fun day where we managed to break the £1000 barrier, raising a wonderful £1010 for Alzheimers Scotland. Well done to everyone involved and a big thank you to our CSR Committee and special thanks to Shona Currie (pictured above) who co-ordinated the day.
