Description:

The HSE consultation process in relation to the new CDM Regulations ends on 6 June 2014. The increased responsibility placed on the client by the 2007 Regulations has helped in improving health and safety on site, but there are still concerns that organisations see it as a bureaucratic papers chase without fully understanding the requirements.

The proposed CDM Regulations for 2015 seek to address this issue, as well as others, and Neil Shaw, WSP UK Ltd, will discuss the changes and how they are likely to affect you and your business.

Laura Irvine, bto, will then look at whether the new CDM Regulations are likely to change the regulatory landscape in terms of investigations and enforcement by the HSE. She will discuss the enforcement action taken under the 2007 Regulations and whether this is likely to increase given the proposed changes in 2015.
