A look at the contractual requirement for and scope of Clause 6.5.1 insurance cover and steps that can be taken on site to reduce the risk of claims.  

This seminar will look at:

  • The background to 6.5.1 cover

  • Underwriting issues for insurers

  • The contractual requirement for 6.5.1 cover and case studies where the need for the cover has come into play.

  • What can be done on site to avoid things going wrong, identifying some of the risk factors. Examples of failures involving groundworks leading to collapse or failure of adjoining buildings will be provided.
